Situated in an excellent position – favoured by the winds, open to the Maritime Alps and with a view as far as the summit of Monviso – the large structure immediately became the heart of the estate and of wine production thanks to the varieties of autochthonous Piedmontese and international vineyards.

With 2010, the winery sees an important rebirth: the founders are succeeded by new owners, the Lanci family, who give the company a new look, always respecting tradition and the territory. Today, the company can count on over 15 hectares of vineyards in the Langhe area with vineyards in 3 important Barolo crus – Serradenari, Fossati and Bussia – from which 5 different Barolo wines of great personality and elegance are produced.

This month we will include some bottles from this winery in our Wine List:

Roero Arneis D.O.C.G. 2021

100% Arneis

Wine suitable both to be enjoyed now and for moderate ageing. Taste is juicy and mineral, pleasently savory.

Vinification: skinned grapes, fermented in temperature controlled tanks at 17°C for 20-22 days. Ageing: in steel tanks for 4 months on the yeast and frequent battonage (stirring).

Langhe DOC Nebbiolo

100% Nebbiolo

Ruby red with orange reflections. Excellent persistence that recalls orange peel with notes of earth and mineral.

Vinification: destemming- crushing, maceration in temperature controlled tanks at a maximum temperature of 28°C for about 10 days with daily pumping over of the must, followed by malolactic fermentation. Ageing: in stainless steel tanks.

Barolo DOCG del Comune di La Morra

100% Nebbiolo

Wine that manifests its agreeability during its youth and is also suitable for a good ageing, acquiring complexity. Excellent balance between acidity and tannins.

Vinification: destemming-crushing, maceration in temperature controlled tanks at a temperature of 25-26°C for 20-30 days with daily pumping over of the must, followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Ageing: in oak barrels for at least 18 months.

Just outside the hamlet of La Morra in the Serradenari region was an old farmhouse dating back to the first half of the 18th century. The large typically rural building was in a delightful position, favoured by the winds and open to the Maritime Alps.

Parsimonious use of technology optimises the production process without altering the rhythms of nature. Work in the vineyard is based on cutting-edge principles inspired at all times by respect for the environment, to produce quality grapes, the raw material for great wines.
